Agriculture and Livestock Development CS Hon. Mithika Linturi today joined the Deputy President H.E Rigathi Gachagua during the official opening of the 2022 Mombasa Agricultural Society of Kenya International show at the Mkomani showground. In his speech, CS Linturi noted that the Government has prioritized agriculture as a key driver to the nation’s economic recovery and growth, particularly giving focus on among other measures lowering the cost of inputs, specifically fertilizer, as an avenue to increasing agricultural productivity. Following this Directive he said, the Ministry of Agriculture has continued to avail these inputs to farmers across the various value chains to increase productivity. In attendance were; CS Public Service, Affirmative Action and Gender Hon. Aisha Jumwa, Mombasa Governor Hon. Abduswamad Sharrif Nassir, PS Livestock Harry Kimtai, Dr. Francis Owino and other government officials.
