Principal Secretary Harry Kimtai, state Department for Livestock Development has today opened a COG meeting for 21 Counties for senzatization and implentation of the DRIVE project, at Hotel PrideInn Paradise, in Mombasa. The PS who represented CS Mithika Linturi at the occasion said that whereas the severe drought on average affects 3.4 million people in each drought cycle in the country, the most affected regions are Arid and Semi Arid Lands (ASALs). As Kimtai read the CSs speach, he noted that Livestock Department shall be coordinated by SDLD.
