This afternoon, the Principal secretary state department for Agriculture Dr. Kipronoh Ronoh Paul joined Cabinet secretary Dr. Andrew Karanja in signing the FY 2024/2025 Performance Contracts in KALRO Headquarters. This 21st cycle of the Public Sector Performance Contracts is a pivotal moment for our Ministry and its Agencies: Kenya seeds Company, Agricultural and Food Authority,Kenya plant Health Inspectorate service, KEPHIS among others

These performance contracts are more than just formalities—they are the foundation for accountability and excellence in public service delivery. Each contract is aligned with the Government’s development and Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda, ensuring that our policies, programs, and projects contribute to addressing food security, reducing the cost of living, creating jobs and achieving inclusive growth.

“I urge all involved to approach these contracts with the seriousness they deserve. These targets are not merely benchmarks but commitments to the Kenyan people. Let’s utilize our resources prudently, maintain transparency in our processes, and keep our operations aligned with our core values of professional ethics, economic resource use, and responsive service delivery,” Dr rono said

“As we move forward, regular monitoring, evaluation, and reporting will be crucial. My office will be receiving quarterly progress reports to ensure we are on track and addressing any challenges promptly. I encourage collaboration within and outside our Ministry to foster innovation and efficiency in our service delivery,” he said

Ps reaffirmed his commitment in supporting them as they will implement these performance contracts.
