Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Sen. Mutahi Kagwe, today hosted H.E. Wael Nasreldin Attiya, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, for a courtesy call that reaffirmed the warm and longstanding ties between Kenya and Egypt.

With KTDA CEO Wilson Muthaura and TBK CEO Willy Mutai in attendance, the meeting built on the outcomes of the 7th Kenya-Egypt Joint Commission for Cooperation and focused on strengthening agricultural partnerships. Discussions explored joint initiatives such as the upcoming Egypt-Kenya Business Council and Expo, collaboration in climate-smart agriculture and ASAL development, Egyptian investment in key value chains under the Land Consolidation Initiative, and technology-driven capacity building for youth through training and scholarships.

Kenya and Egypt remain committed to leveraging these partnerships to expand trade, transform agriculture, and drive sustainable development.
