Dr. Agnes Kalibata, President of the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), this morning paid a courtesy call to Dr. Andrew Karanja, Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development, to discuss strengthening Kenya’s agricultural sector. She was joined by Prof Hamadi Boga, Vice President in charge of Program Delivery, and John Macharia, Country Director.
The meeting focused on enhancing food security, boosting productivity, and promoting sustainable farming practices under the BETA Agenda. AGRA, a key partner of the Ministry, works to improve smallholder farmers’ access to affordable, high-quality seeds, fertilizers, and other inputs.
This collaboration underscores the government’s deliberate effort to partner with development organizations to transform agriculture and ensure sustainable access to nutritious food for all Kenyans.
