Kenya and Denmark have maintained strong bilateral relations since 1963, jointly launching the Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) project to enhance capacity in food safety, with a focus on the horticultural and dairy value chains.
In this spirit of cooperation, the Danish Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Mr. Stephan Schønemann, has paid a courtesy visit to the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Dr. Andrew Karanja, at Kilimo House.
This meeting highlighted the shared strategic interests between Kenya and Denmark, aiming to strengthen trade ties, promote common values, and uphold a global commitment to sustainable development.
Discussions focused on expanding trade in agricultural commodities, boosting agribusiness competitiveness, advancing mechanization for smallholder farmers, and promoting value addition and agro-processing in Kenya.
