Kenya and China continue to deepen their long-standing partnership, with a focus on advancing agricultural development through strategic collaboration.
This morning, Dr. Kipronoh Ronoh Paul, CBS, Principal Secretary for Agriculture, hosted Mr. Jiang Wensheng, Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, alongside FAO officials, at Kilimo House in Nairobi.
The visit is part of the FAO-China South-South Cooperation (SSC) Programme, aiming to foster dialogue on agricultural priorities, strengthen technical partnerships, and enhance knowledge exchange. The delegation will tour key KALRO centers to witness flagship projects, including fall armyworm control and low-carbon innovation in the tea industry.
This mission builds on the recent SSC Consultation Meeting held in Rome and reinforces Kenya’s commitment to leveraging South-South and Triangular Cooperation for sustainable, inclusive agricultural growth.
