Today the Principal Secretary State Department For Agriculture Dr.Kipronoh Ronoh Paul,CBS joined H.E President William Samoei Ruto on a trip to Egypt on matters Agriculture and Trade rade.The PS later chaired a fruitful consultative meeting with key traders of tea from kenya to Egypt.The meeting was convined by chairman of Egyptian Chamber of Commers Dr. Maytham El Farran together with Tea Board of Kenya.
Egypt is second importer of Kenya tea and we control over 85% of tea consumed in Egypt.
The meeting was able to address a number of challenges facing tea export to Egypt and they agreed to utilize the provision of the MOU signed today by Heads of states to address the issues. We are looking foward to Improve trade between the two states as well as neighbouring countries.
He was flanked by CEO Tea Of Kenya Mr Willy Mutai, Representative from Ministry of Trade and Investment among other stakeholders
