Dr. Paul Kipronoh Ronoh, Principal Secretary, State Department for Agriculture
- Dr. Paul Kipronoh Ronoh is the Principal Secretary, State Department for Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development. Previously, he has served as the Principal Secretary in the State Department for Water and Sanitation in the Ministry of Water and Sanitation & Irrigation and the CEO, ICT Authority.
- He holds a PhD in Leadership and Governance, Masters’ degree in Business Administration and a Bsc in Computer Science. He is a member of Harvard Leaders Excellence Alumni Network, Member of the Institute of Directors of Kenya and Fellow Member of the Computer Society of Kenya.
- He provides overall administration and strategic policy direction of the Agriculture function in the Ministry with 22 SAGAs handling commercial, research, regulatory, financial and capacity building functions.
- He is currently working on programmes to promote Agricultural Transformation for sustainable socio-economic development in line with the Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), Kenya Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals Especially Goal No. 2 envisioning zero Hunger in Kenya by 2030.
- Presently, he is overseeing the coordination of 18 National Projects funded by the Government of Kenya and Development Partners within the State Department for Agriculture. The projects have a total funding portfolio of Kshs. —Billion covering all 47 Counties in Kenya
- He has a keen interest in ICT deployment in Agriculture transformation as well as Youth, People with Disabilities (PWD) and Gender mainstreaming and the role of agriculture in youth, PWD and women empowerment.
