The agripreneurs play a significant role in the actualization of the Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda by ensuring the agricultural sector is driven by the market demand.
As part of today’s program the Principal State department for Agriculture Dr.Kiprono Rono Paul,CBS also unveiled 210 and 175 agripreneurs for Narok and Bomet counties respectively.
The Agripreneurs will work with farmers every step of the way to optimise production, with each one of them being given key performance indicators. While farmers training will continue, the new model emphasizes practical activities on the farms.
On his remarks PS reaffirmed immense support from National government to the county governments as they continuously increase their support for farmers and broaden markets for their products, ensuring they earn higher incomes in order to improve livelihoods.
