The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, in collaboration with the World Bank Group, convened a roundtable discussion in Upper Hill with over 50 digital agriculture practitioners. The objective was to gather insights and input for the development of Kenya’s Digital Agriculture Roadmap (DAR).
The event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from Kenyan government agencies, foreign governments, the private sector, academia, and development partners.
The session introduced the DAR framework, presented key findings from the diagnostic assessment of Kenya’s digital agriculture ecosystem maturity, and featured interactive exercises and group discussions. These discussions focused on identifying priority digital use cases and innovative solutions that can benefit farmers, agribusinesses, and government actors. Participants also provided recommendations on strategic initiatives needed to strengthen the enabling environment for digital agriculture.
There was strong interest in sustaining this dialogue through future forums aimed at deepening collaboration and co-creating solutions. These upcoming sessions will engage an even broader range of stakeholders to ensure inclusivity and effectiveness in shaping the Digital Agriculture Roadmap.
