Sen. Mutahi Kagwe, Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development, today held a high-level bilateral meeting with Dr. Alvaro Lario, President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), in Rome, Italy.
During the discussions, CS Kagwe lauded IFAD’s remarkable 46-year partnership with Kenya, which has seen investments surpassing $1 billion in 21 transformative agricultural projects, positively impacting nearly 5 million households.
He reaffirmed Kenya’s unwavering commitment to strengthening collaboration with IFAD to drive agricultural productivity, enhance food security, and foster sustainable rural development.
