This afternoon CS Mutahi Kagwe, EGH, hosted Ambassador Ali Ghampour (PhD) of the Islamic Republic of Iran, for a strategic meeting aimed at deepening trade relations between Kenya and Iran. He was joined by PS Livestock Development Jonathan Mueke.
As a key market for Kenyan tea and livestock products, Iran presents trade opportunities despite existing barriers. The discussions centered on resolving challenges in tea exports and livestock logistics, paving the way for enhanced trade cooperation ahead of the Kenya-Iran Joint Cooperation Commission (JCC) scheduled for May 2025.
