The fertilizer subsidy program has been a cornerstone of its strategy to enhance food security. This initiative directly addresses the high cost of agricultural inputs, thereby reducing food costs to the consumer and also creating job opportunities in the agricultural sector.

The Principal Secretary State Department for Agriculture Dr Kipronoh Ronoh Paul,CBS today visited National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) Naivasha Depot In Nakuru County to ascertain availability of subsidized Fertilizer and seeds for the impending planting season. To boost yields, we’ve partnered with Kenya Seed Company to provide good quality seeds for our hardworking farmers.

The PS praised NCPB and the seed company for stocking enough farm inputs and urged the farmers to take advantage of the government subsidy and proximity of the stores for food security in the country. He urged NCPB officials to serve farmers well, and instructed them to bring services close to farmers

An NCPB official said they had received enough inputs for the planting season and that there will be no shortage.
