CS Agriculture and Livestock Development, Dr. Andrew Karanja, met with AMCHAM Kenya’s Agricultural Taskforce, led by CEO Mr. Maxwell Okello, at Kilimo House. They discussed about enhancing collaboration between Kenya and the U.S. to strengthen Kenya’s agricultural sector, aligning with the Government’s agenda.
The CS emphasized the government’s commitment to transforming agriculture for food security and agro-processing, highlighting the U.S. as a key export market. Mr. Okello affirmed AMCHAM’s support for agricultural partnerships. They also recognized the strong Kenya-U.S. relations and agreed to revive the AMCHAM-Ministry joint technical working group to improve policy and regulatory frameworks for the agricultural value chain.
