PS Dr. Kipronoh Ronoh has today led the Kenyan Fertilizer and Soil Health delegation in a preliminary dialogue at KALRO, Nairobi, setting the stage for the upcoming Africa Fertilizer and Soil Health Summit (AFSH).
The pre-summit conference serves as a platform for stakeholders to examine the implications, provide feedback, and validate the draft action plan, for incorporation to the National Action Plan.
The AFSH Summit will take place from May 7th to 9th, 2024, at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, organized by the Government of Kenya and the African Union Commission.
PS Dr. Ronoh reaffirmed the government’s dedication to collaborating with all partners to ensure the success of the AFSH Summit and called upon all stakeholders to actively participate during the summit.
The government intervention on fertilizer subsidy programs is aimed at increasing fertilizer usage, promoting competitive and sustainable agricultural production, and enhancing profitability to improve livelihoods and food security.
