PS Harry Kimtai officiated the launch of a workshop in a Nakuru Hotel for the induction of Agriculture CECs and Ministerial staff, on procedures that have been adopted in agricultural sector. The CECs and Ministerial staff (JASCOMM-SWAGS) for the induction, were appointed by the leadership at the two levels of Government to occupy top management offices. PS said that while each level of Government is responsible for developing its own mechanism for coordination, the Joint Agricultural Sector consulta and Cooperation Mechanism JASSCOM was established to pursue Intergovernmental relations between the two levels in line with Intergovernmental relations act 2012. He told the workshop participants that his Livestock Sector has to date attempted to address most of the challenges affecting the industry, through various legislations that have been developed jointly by the two levels of Government.
