Cabinet Secretary Hon. Senator Mutahi Kagwe today led the launch of the AgriTec Africa International Exhibition and Conference on Agricultural Technologies at KICC, Nairobi. He was joined by Principal Secretary for Agriculture, Dr. Kipronoh Ronoh Paul, CBS, and Dr. Adarsh Swaika, High Commissioner and Permanent Representative to UNEP and UN-Habitat.
Held under the theme “Improving Farmers’ Income Through Innovation & Technology,” the exhibition is a vital platform showcasing transformative solutions for Africa’s agriculture. Farmers were encouraged to embrace mechanization and modern technologies to enhance efficiency, increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve profitability.
By leveraging innovation, Africa can unlock vast opportunities, empower smallholder farmers, and strengthen food security while advancing Kenya’s Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
