The Government will facilitate adoption of new technologies and innovations to transform low agricultural productivity in the country, President William Ruto has said.
In a statement read on his behalf by CS Agriculture Hon Mithika Linturi, during the opening of the African Conference on Agricultural Technologies (ACAT), President Ruto said the government William assist farmers to adopt the new knowledge in order to enhance food production capacities to make Kenya Food secure.

In a statement read on his behalf by CS Agriculture during the opening of the African Conference on Agricultural Technologies (ACAT), President Ruto said that his government will assist farmers to adopt the new knowledge in order to enhance food production capacities to make Kenya Food secure.
The President noted that the use of science, technology, and innovations in agriculture as a powerful tool can achieve two goals of improving productivity across value chains while at the same time building resilience to the effects of climate change.
Among those present were H.E. Goodluck Jonathan (former president Nigeria), Hon. Nape Nnauye (Tanzania), Hon. Vincent Bamulangaki Sempijja (Uganda), PS Dr. Paul Ronoh, Dr. Canisius Kanangire, and delegates from 38 African Countries.
