This morning , CAS Anne Nyaga, CBS, was at the Kenya school of Agriculture in Nyeri County where the interviews for the already received applications for the Enable Youth Program, commenced.
It was the day one of the interviews stage that will end by the end of this month.
The call for applications for this program was done in November, last year where a total of 2700 applications were submitted. From this, a total of 520 qualified youth drawn from all over Kenya, will be admitted in the different training centres across the country depending on the value chain of interest.
The interviews will end on 27th February 2020.
While there, she said Enable youth was a
specifically designed program that responds to Youth in Agribusiness Strategy, access to affordable finance.
CAS Nyaga said that, ENABLE Youth Kenya will contribute to the objectives of Kenya’s Vision 2030, Agricultural Sector Development Strategy and Kenya Youth Agribusiness Strategy objectives by identifying innovative potential-oriented entrepreneurs who are willing to pursue business opportunities in agricultural value chain.
In the process of doing so, the program will engage all stakeholders along the value chain, thus strengthening the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem affecting the start-up and growth of innovative agribusiness enterprises.
The program will strive to have a demonstration or catalytic effect, encouraging a new generation of entrepreneurs to enter, grow, and advance in agribusiness.

●Kalro Katumani(lower eastern):15-16th Feb.
●Ramogi Institute of advanced Technology(Nyanza) :15-22nd Feb.
●Dairy training institute(lower Rift Valley):15-20th Feb.
●Kilimo House(Nrb):17-20th Feb
●Pwani university(Coast):22-25th Feb
●Kalro kakamega(Western):23-27th Feb
●University of Eldoret(Upper Rift Valey):22-26th Feb.
