Today, Principal Secretary for Agriculture, Dr. Kipronoh Ronoh Paul, CBS, officiated the signing of the Implementation Partnership Agreement between the government and partners for the Integrated Natural Resource Programme, valued at Ksh. 34.4 billion, in Naivasha, Nakuru County. This landmark initiative will support 10 counties in improving livelihoods through enhanced access to water, increased food production, and the cultivation of cash crops. It will also strengthen forest protection, address climate change challenges, build farmers’ capacity, and promote markets, agribusiness, and value addition. Together, we are investing in a sustainable future that empowers communities and safeguards our natural resources for generations to come.

He was flanked by Eng. Festus Ngeno (Principal Secretary, Environment and Climate Change), Governors Stephen Sang (Nandi), Jonathan Bii (Uasin Gishu), Simon Kachapin (West Pokot), Eric Mutai (Kericho), IFAD Country Director Ms. Mariatu Kamara, County Executive Committee Members, technical officers, and development partners—all united in aligning county governments towards effective implementation
