Today, Agriculture Principal Secretary Dr. Kiprono Ronoh, CBS, presided over the official handing over of the Pap Konam Agricultural Training Centre in Seme Constituency, Kisumu County. This institution now becomes the 10th campus of the Kenya School of Agriculture (KSA), marking a significant milestone in strengthening agricultural education and capacity-building across the nation.
The establishment of this new campus will empower agricultural professionals to deliver effective extension services to farmers, ensuring that they are equipped with modern knowledge, skills, and innovations to drive productivity and sustainability in Kenya’s agricultural sector. This achievement underscores our unwavering commitment to building a resilient, inclusive, and future-ready agriculture for all Kenyans.
In attendance were Host Governor Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o, Deputy Governor Dr. Mathew Owili, Seme MP Dr. James Nyikal, Kisumu County Commissioner Mohamed Mwabudzo, Members of the County Executive, Honourable Members of the County Assembly, representatives of the Kenya School of Agriculture, and other distinguished leaders.
