World Bank Pays Courtesy Call to Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Agriculture to Advance Digital Agriculture Roadmap

The World Bank Group, led by Dr. Parmesh Shah, Global Lead for Data, Digital Agriculture, and Innovations, Dr. Ghada Elabed, Senior Agriculture Economist, James Musinga, Senior Agriculture Economist, and Beryl Agengo, Digital Agriculture Specialist, today paid a courtesy call to Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture to discuss the implementation and progress of the Digital Agriculture Roadmap (DAR).

The discussions centred on advancing digital innovations to transform Kenya’s agricultural sector, enhance rural livelihoods, and strengthen food systems. The collaboration seeks to leverage technology to boost productivity, improve market access, and build resilience among farmers across the country.

The CS welcomed the World Bank’s continued partnership and reiterated its commitment to implementing the Digital Agriculture Roadmap as a key pillar of agricultural transformation in the country.
