Today, Agriculture and Livestock Development CS Mutahi Kagwe chaired the entry meeting of the Joint Steering Committee for the Kenya Livestock Commercialization Project (KeLCoP), officially launching its Mid-Term Review (MTR). He was joined by the PS State Department for Cooperatives, Patrick Kilemi.
KeLCoP is a transformative USD 93.5 million initiative operating in 10 counties, co-funded by the Government of Kenya and IFAD, and implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development.
CS Kagwe encouraged project partners to reflect on whether the project is meeting its goals, staying responsive to beneficiary needs, and adapting to emerging trends like AI in agriculture and the growing importance of traceability in export markets.
