Extension services are vital for food security as they equip farmers with the knowledge and tools to enhance efficiency and sustainability in agriculture.

This morning, CS Dr. Andrew Karanja inaugurated the Kenya Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (KeFAAS) 2nd National Agricultural Extension Symposium, themed “Delivering Pluralistic Extension to the Last Mile for an Improved Agri-Food System.”

He emphasized that the successful transformation of the agricultural sector hinges on the effective provision of extension services.

The Ministry recognizes the need to revitalize extension services in the counties by engaging digitally-skilled youth extension workers.
