Dr. Andrew Karanja, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development (MoALD), hosted a delegation from the Embassy of Sweden led by Ambassador H.E. Caroline Vicini.
The meeting delved into the long-standing collaboration between the Kenyan Government and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), in supporting agricultural sector initiatives. Key points of discussion included SIDA’s support for the Kenya Integrated Agriculture Management Information System (KIAMIS), which is being implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and funded by SIDA.
KIAMIS is an electronic information dissemination platform designed to assist agripreneurs by providing access to Technology, Innovations, and Management Practices (TIMPs). Additionally, discussions focused on the support for other agricultural programs across Kenya.
