This morning, Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Dr. Andrew Karanja, alongside Ministry officials, unveiled the 2023 Farmer Registration Report. The CS lauded the collaborative efforts of key stakeholders, including KNBS, KALRO, ELRP, FSRP, and NAVCDP programs, in ensuring the nationwide farmer registration exercise was a resounding success.
Joined by Agriculture PS Dr. Kipronoh Ronoh, the CS highlighted this milestone as a crucial step toward expanding the government’s subsidy program through registered agro-dealers.
Later, at Kilimo House, Dr. Karanja flagged off agripreneurs bound for Kenya’s 47 counties to spearhead a comprehensive soil mapping exercise.
By prioritizing soil mapping and farmer identification, the Ministry underscores its commitment to data-driven agriculture—an essential strategy for achieving optimal food production across the country.
