The Performance Evaluation is informed by the Parameters, Programmes, Expected Outputs, Performance Indicators and Targets entailed in the Ministry’s Performance Contract for the same activity period.
This morning Principal Secretary state department for Agriculture Dr. Kipronoh Ronoh Paul hosted the performance and delivery management team from the Executive Office of the President of Kenya at Kilimo House, Nairobi. Together with the Ministry officials from the two State Departments reviewed the achievements under the 2023/24 Performance Contract against the set targets.
Speaking at the event, PS Dr Rono expressed confidence in the process and called for a better way of rewarding best performing Ministries and State Departments.
On their part, the evaluation team assured that the best performing Ministries and State Departments will be rewarded once the evaluation is complete.
The evaluation is in line with the continuous improvement to ensure that the performance of Ministries and Departments meets the needs and expectations of Kenyans. Some of the areas covered in the review include the Ministry’s financial stewardship, service delivery and other core mandates of the Ministry.
