This morning, Agriculture and Livestock Development CS Hon. Mutahi Kagwe engaged tea industry stakeholders to address critical concerns affecting the tea sector, including the unsold tea stocks in Mombasa, and also the search for new markets.
The meeting brought together key industry leaders, including amongst others, the Tea Board of Kenya (TBK) Chairman Jacob Kamau Kahiu, TBK CEO Willy Mutai, and representatives from the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA).
The Kenya Kwanza government is committed to bolster Kenya’s competitiveness in global markets, thereby ensuring that farmers get the best returns for their efforts.
As part of consolidating key existing markets and breaking into ones, Kenya will be participating in the Gulf Food Festival 2025 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 17th to 21st February.
