Today the Principal Secretary State Department for Agriculture Dr.Kipronoh Ronoh Paul,CBS presided over the official opening of the 8TH Africa Agric expo 2025 at the KICC, Nairobi city county as the chief guest. This two-day prestigious conference, themed “Unleashing the Potential of African Agribusiness” brings together leading agriculture enthusiasts, innovators, and stakeholders and provides a platform for networking, showcasing cutting-edge agricultural technologies, and driving transformative growth in Kenya and Africa’s Agricultural sector.
On his remarks the PS noted that the Ministry is Promoting over 19 priority value chains including Tea, Rice, Textiles & Apparels and Edible Oils to address Food and nutrition security in aligned to the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) and the Agricultural Sector Transformation & Growth Strategy (ASTGS 2019-2029)
Together we can build more food secure Nation, managing post harvest losses and increasing value addition for the benefit of all Kenyans.
